John Davis manages the Employment Law group and has been practicing employment law exclusively since graduating from law school. After building from the ground up a successful employment law practice group for an established Boston law firm, he then launched his own firm Davis & Davis, P.C. in August 2002 with his wife as his partner. The Employment Law group typically represents individuals in their claims against the employer, but the Employment Law group has been corporate counsel to dozens of small to mid-size businesses over the years. Attorney Davis is willing to represent small to mid-size companies that inadvertently run afoul of employment laws provided these companies are committed to fostering a healthy and productive work environment for both employees and management. Attorney Davis and his team have extensive experience with mediation, arbitration, and litigation in state agencies, state courts, federal agencies and the Federal District Court for the District of Massachusetts. The Employment Law group’s attorneys are all members of the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association (MELA) and participate in various pro-bono programs. Attorney Davis is also a frequent speaker on employment law issues and he has been recognized for creating legal precedent by succeeding with the first workplace race associational discrimination case in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

To Whom It May Concern: It gives me great pleasure to offer this letter of reference on behalf of John Davis of Davis & Davis P.C. Experiencing any kind of harassment in the workplace can be stressful and hard to overcome. After dealing with harassment for months I decided it was finally time to take action and do something about it. I met with an individual to discuss my problems and concerns and they referred me to John. John was very accommodating and was able to meet with me within a days notice to go into detail about some of the issues going on at my job and to discuss the actions we could take. John was very professional and courteous from the start and helped put me at ease. Throughout the entire process he would stay in touch and keep me up to date with any news regarding the case. John communicates very well and would always respond to my calls and emails in a timely manner. The outcome was a huge success and I’m very grateful for John’s efforts.

Grateful Client - 2015-12-04 11:16:26

December 3, 2015 When my attorney John Davis asked me if I would consider providing him a reference for him to post on Google Plus, I jumped at the opportunity. John did such an amazing job for me that I am happy to have the opportunity to tell the public about my experience. I was subjected to sexual harassment at work, but I did not know how to handle the situation because I worked for a small, family run business. At our initial meeting, John explained how the process would likely play out and it was almost like he could predict the future. We settled the case at mediation, and not surprisingly, John predicted the range in which it settled. I signed a confidentiality agreement so I am prohibited from disclosing the settlement amount, but I can say that when it was all said and done, I had a huge smile on my face. If you have a sexual harassment issue at work, you need to call John. Sincerely, a Grateful Client
