Greg Pivovar has 37 years of trial and appellate experience to put to work for you. His experience ranges from thousands of DUI’s and serious misdemeanors to hundreds of felony drug cases and sexual assault charges to over 30 murder cases at the trial, appellate and post conviction levels. Greg is considered a preeminent Post Conviction attorney in Nebraska having recently obtained the release of an innocent individual sentenced to 30 years.

Greg obtained an undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Summa Cum Laude and went on to excel at Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska. Greg has been in the private practice of law since graduation and also served simultaneously as Chief Deputy Public Defender in Sarpy County, Nebraska’s third most populous county, for 13 years honing both his trial and appellate skills.

Greg’s experience in the area of DUI’s is extensive including jury trials, bench trials, and negotiated settlements resulting in dismissals and probationary sentences involving no jail time. From his years of experience he knows the ins and outs of Sarpy County’s Alcohol Diversion Program (Nebraskas only such program) and can navigate that program to the benefit of his clients.
