ABOUT Benjamin Steinberg

Benjamin J. Steinberg earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Duquesne University School of Law. While obtaining his law degree, Mr. Steinberg clerked for a preeminent plaintiffs’ law firm where he gained experience in various areas of law including workers’ compensation, Social Security Disability, personal injury and asbestos-related disease claims.
Following law school, Mr. Steinberg worked as a child advocate attorney, representing children alleged to have suffered abuse and/or neglect. Thereafter, Mr. Steinberg represented indigent clients in criminal proceedings as the Assistant Chief Public Defender of Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Lopez McHugh, Mr. Steinberg was an associate at a law firm in the Southern New Jersey/Philadelphia region, where he handled various matters involving personal injury claims, auto accidents, criminal defense and family law.

Mr. Steinberg has made hundreds of courtroom appearances on behalf of his clients at all stages of the trial process. Additionally, Mr. Steinberg has advocated for his clients at the appellate level in the Superior Court of Pennsylvania on multiple occasions.

When he is not practicing law, Mr. Steinberg contributes to various legal publications and enjoys spending time with his wife and family. He is an avid fly fisherman and enjoys spending time outdoors.
