ABOUT Bradley Smith

Brad Smith is an Associate Attorney with Galfand Berger, LLP and proudly advocates on behalf of injured workers, consumers, and victims of negligence.

As a result of winning first place in the College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers' 2016 national writing competition, Brad's article "Holding a Square Peg and Choosing Between Two Round Holes: The Challenge Workers' Compensation Law Faces with Uber and the Sharing Economy" was published in Workers' First Watch (Spring 2016). Brad also won the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Workers' Compensation Centennial Essay Contest in 2015 and had his essay “Pennsylvania's Mental Lapse: A History of Pennsylvania's Treatment of Mental Disabilities Caused by Mental Stress in Workers' Compensation” published in The Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Centennial: A Narrative and Pictorial Celebration.

Brad earned his Juris Doctor from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law. While in law school, Brad was a member of the Temple Law Review and had his Comment “Treating Professional Athletes Like Wall Street Executives: The Potential for Clawback Provisions in Sports Contracts” published in Vol. 87 of the Temple Law Review. During law school, Brad participated in the Advanced Family Law Clinic providing pro bono representation to indigent individuals. He also worked as a research assistant to esteemed Professor Laura Little.

Prior to law school, Brad graduated magna cum laude from Gettysburg College, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
