Dona Taccino is an attorney with over 25 years of experience in medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh in 1978 earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. During her undergraduate studies she was awarded the honor of University Scholar. In 1984 she earned a Masters in Education from the University of Pittsburgh and had teaching certificates in Vocation Education.
Ms. Taccino then attended Duquesne University to earn her Juris Doctor of Law in 1988. During her law school studies, she was elected class representative. She was admitted to the Pennsylvania and U.S. District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania bar in 1988. Ms. Taccino currently holds a Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania and is a member of theAllegheny County Bar Association. She has previously been employed as a registered nurse, a vocational education instructor of high school students, and as a legal assistant while attending law school. She has extensive experience in preparation of Complaints, Motions, Briefs, Petitions, Voir Dire, Pretrial Statements and case evaluations. She grew up in the Brookline area of the City and currently lives in the South Hills. She has been involved in the nonprofit Radio Information Service when they provided assistance to the blind in Pittsburgh.
Ms. Taccino holds an Associate Attorney position for Harry Cohen & Associates providing assistance and support in all areas of our practice. She conducts in-depth case analysis including conducting medical research, drafting pleadings, preparing summaries of medical records, and outlining deposition testimony for use during expert evaluation and throughout litigation. She focusses on identifying and analyzing medical legal issues including supporting medical articles, case opinions and statutes. Ms. Taccino is an experienced advocate for injured victims and the bereaved. She is dedicated to serving our clients and scrutinizing the negligence of health care providers.
