Mr. Palmer and Mr. Barr founded Palmer & Barr, P.C., in 1989. Since founding the practice, the firm has experienced over 25 years of successful practice.
James D. Palmer is a 1976 graduate of Wheaton College, earning his Bachelor of Art's degree cum laude. Thereafter, he attended Duke University, where he earned his law degree in 1979. He was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania in 1979.
Since entering practice, Mr. Palmer has tried hundreds of matters involving automobile and general negligence actions. In addition to insurance defense litigation, Mr. Palmer practices small business law, commercial litigation, estate planning and bad faith litigation.
Mr. Palmer is a member of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, Pennsylvania Bar, and Chester County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Eastern District. Further, Mr. Palmer is admitted to practice in the Third Circuit United States Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Finally, Mr. Palmer was born and raised in Pennsylvania. In his spare time, he volunteers as a music leader for the Springton Lake Presbyterian Church.
