Ms. Paonessa is a partner in the firm’s Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith Litigation practice group. She is an experienced attorney whose practice focuses on representing clients in coverage matters prior to and during litigation.
Experience
In her non-litigation practice, Ms. Paonessa advises clients on the local, national and international level regarding insurance coverage and contractual indemnity disputes relating to various types of claims, including invasion of privacy claims, intellectual property disputes, construction claims, product defect claims, business torts, as well as bodily injury, property damage and pollution liability claims.
In litigation, Ms. Paonessa represents clients in contractual and extra-contractual disputes in federal and state courts throughout the United States arising under all forms of insurance policies (e.g., general liability, excess and umbrella, directors and officers, errors and omissions, life and disability and, among others, pollution) and contractual indemnity agreements.
Prior to joining McCormick Barstow, Ms. Paonessa practiced at a mid-size insurance defense firm in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has also worked with the Office of the Public Defender in Hamilton County, Ohio handling felony cases.
