Joseph P. Stanton is a graduate of La Salle University, Philadelphia, PA where he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree (cum laude) in Business Administration in May of 1979. Mr. Stanton was awarded his Juris Doctor degree from Temple University School of Law, Philadelphia, PA in May of 1983.
Mr. Stanton was admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on October 18, 1983. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Mr. Stanton has been employed as a general practitioner of law at the Law Offices of Joseph P. Stanton located in Jenkintown, PA since 1989. From 1982 through 1989, Mr. Stanton was employed as a Law Clerk and attorney at a small general practice firm (Iovine and Woods, P.C.) formally located in Northeast Philadelphia, PA.
Mr. Stanton is a member of the National Lawyers Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Montgomery Bar Association, Pro-Life Lawyer’s Guild, Brehon Law Society and The Ancient Order of Hibernians (Sean McBride Division).
Besides his professional activities, Mr. Stanton is very committed to his church and community. He is a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish Council and has been a youth coach for several organizations including Jenkintown Youth Activities, Abington Raiders and Immaculate Conception CYO.
Mr. Stanton is also a runner and triathlete, having participated in many triathalons, open water swimming competitions and 10K road-races. He is also a member of the Stanton Family Singers and Friends (guitar and vocals), an Irish Music ensemble.
Mr. Stanton is married to Theresa (Corbett) Stanton, and is the father of seven children, Gabrielle, Martin, Dominic, Grace, Sean, Bernadette and Ava.
