ABOUT Stephen M. Calder

Mr. Calder joined the firm in 1980 and has extensive trial and appellate experience in both maritime and non-maritime civil litigation in the state and federal courts throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. In his maritime practice, he represents companies and individuals involved in the commercial and recreational maritime industry, including owners and charterers of ocean-going vessels and their P&I and hull insurers, stevedore companies, terminal operators, recreational boat owners, repairers and marinas, and their liability carriers. The cases he handles range from personal injury lawsuits to insurance coverage disputes to complex commercial matters. He is a Proctor in Admiralty and a lecturer on boating law and liability.

Member, Order of Barristers. Recipient: International Academy of Trial Lawyers' Award; National Moot Court Competition, Justice Lewis F. Powell Award by the American College of Trial Lawyers for Excellence in Advocacy.
