Steve was born, raised, educated and has spent his professional life in the southeastern Pennsylvania region graduating from Haverford College with a bachelor's degree in sociology and from Temple University School of Law in 1975 with a Juris Doctor degree. He first represented those who could not afford counsel in civil actions through two legal services programs, then worked for the City of Philadelphia enforcing housing, building and health codes. For the last 25 years he has represented plaintiffs in various serious personal injury matters: auto accidents, product liability matters, medical malpractice cases, and premises liability claims most frequently. Before joining the practice he worked in a plaintiffs' personal injury firm providing representation in all types of injury cases and later in a labor firm representing union workers in their negligence claims.
He joined Judy Greenwood in practice in 1994 continuing his interest in plaintiffs' personal injury cases. He finds working for the injured far more rewarding emotionally than working the other side of the fence. He also prefers representing "real people" like those he grew up with and has known all his life.
He has successfully litigated cases on behalf of victims of motor vehicle accidents, product design errors, and slip and fall accidents and has also developed an expertise in the medical negligence field, working with Judy Greenwood as part of the firm's injury team on significant medical malpractice litigation for the past fourteen years.
Steve is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association.
