Tom is a long-time resident of Pittsburgh and earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Notre Dame. Tom joined Caroselli, Beachler & Coleman, PLC, in August of 2013, where he primarily represents individuals and families harmed by exposure to asbestos. Tom also represents injured persons and entities in various other civil matters, and represents individuals in white collar and general criminal defense matters. Tom joined the firm after 6 years with a mid-size defense firm. Tom spent the first 20 years of his practice with the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office where he tried approximately 200 cases to jury verdict, and gained extensive experience prosecuting health care matters, homicides, sexual assaults, police use of force cases and white collar cases. Tom has presented on health care issues to the California Attorney General’s Office, among others. Tom served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney and lead counsel in a 55 defendant RICO prosecution. Since Tom joined the firm, the firm’s clients have benefitted from his investigatory and trial experience in the handling of matters on their behalf.
