Mr. Atkins is a seasoned trial lawyer with a strong record of success on behalf of his clients in criminal and civil matters. Mr. Atkins’ concentrates his civil practice in the areas of wrongful death, catastrophic personal injury, auto and trucking, premises liability and police misconduct cases involving the unlawful use of force and wrongful arrest.
William J. Atkins earned his undergraduate degree from Vassar College in 1991 (B.A. History). Mr. Atkins earned his Juris Doctor degree from Emory University School of Law in 1994. He was named Best Oralist in the 1992 Emory Moot Court Competition and competed on the Georgia Intrastate and National Moot Court teams.
He is admitted to practice in the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and all of Georgia’s federal district courts. Mr. Atkins is a longstanding member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta.
