Facing a divorce, foreclosure, or criminal charges is never a pleasant experience. When you add to that the fact that many people in these scenarios are reacting from emotion, it becomes clear why so many people in these scenarios make very bad decisions that haunt them for the rest of their lives. Attorney Shawn Seliger has seen the impact of those decisions, not only on clients, but also on loved ones, and has dedicated his practice to ensuring that his clients have the best outcomes possible.
A graduate of the University of California, Davis, Shawn took a non-conventional approach to the practice of law. He spent years teaching at an inner city high school in South Central Los Angeles, where he witnessed, first hand, the impact of disrupted family lives on teens, working as an Impact Drug and Alcohol Counselor to promote prevention of juvenile crime and substance abuse. There, he realized the truth in the maxim that children would rather come from a broken home than live in one, and decided that his calling would be helping those children and their families. After attending the Southern Illinois University School of Law, Shawn worked as an Assistant State Attorney, and then as Public Defender, before entering private law practice. Now, Shawn concentrates his practice on helping families deal with the challenges so many of us face: divorce, child support, alimony, foreclosures, landlord/tenant disputes, and even criminal problems. This commitment extends to his personal life; Shawn is an active community volunteer who served as the President for Voices for Kids of Southwest Florida, as the Vice President of the HOPE Clubhouse, and on the Board of Directors for the Lee County Coalition for a Drug-Free Southwest Florida.
If you are facing a legal challenge, do not underestimate its ability to impact all areas of your life. Contact Shawn for a consultation, and see what he can do to help you. You may reach him at 239-333-0077 or find out more at his website: http://southwestfloridalawyer.com/.
