The January 6, 2005 train derailment and chlorine gas spill in Graniteville, South Carolina adversely affected thousands of local residents and employees. Mark was also appointed to the legal steering committee following the May 2000 bridge collapse at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Chappell, Smith & Arden coordinated all documents and discovery, depositions, and the resources of the 24 law firms representing the 87 race fans injured during the collapse.
Bill Smith and Mark Arden also have 45 years of combined experience handling worker’s comp cases. Both attorneys limit their practices to workers’ compensation and represent injured workers daily before the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission.
