John Davis manages the Employment Law group and has been practicing employment law exclusively since graduating from law school. After building from the ground up a successful employment law practice group for an established Boston law firm, he then launched his own firm Davis & Davis, P.C. in August 2002 with his wife as his partner. The Employment Law group typically represents individuals in their claims against the employer, but the Employment Law group has been corporate counsel to dozens of small to mid-size businesses over the years. Attorney Davis is willing to represent small to mid-size companies that inadvertently run afoul of employment laws provided these companies are committed to fostering a healthy and productive work environment for both employees and management. Attorney Davis and his team have extensive experience with mediation, arbitration, and litigation in state agencies, state courts, federal agencies and the Federal District Court for the District of Massachusetts. The Employment Law groupÍs attorneys are all members of the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association (MELA) and participate in various pro-bono programs. Attorney Davis is also a frequent speaker on employment law issues and he has been recognized for creating legal precedent by succeeding with the first workplace race associational discrimination case in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
