Admitted to the Maryland Bar in December, 1982, I am an experienced seasoned litigator having represented thousands of people in a variety of criminal cases, DUIs and serious traffic matters in most jurisdictions throughout the Maryland. I am passionate for my clients and skilled at using case information to the client’s advantage. While every case is different they all have one thing in common. To the client their case is extremely important if not the most important matter in the client’s life at that time. There is no such thing as a simple minor charge if you are the one charged, and you are the one whose life can be severely impacted if not handled properly.
For over thirty (30) years I have and in the future will continue to give each client an honest assessment of their situation – the result I believe can be achieved and the possible adverse consequences that may occur. Each fee is based on the particular charge and circumstances of the case. I try to be fair and honest with each person I have the privilege to represent. Additionally, while I am an experienced litigator, I am not a magician – and while the results I achieve can sometimes seem magical it is only because I use tried and tested techniques learned over my years in the courtroom and in negotiating with prosecutors (the State).
Lastly, whether you are charged with a serious traffic matter (DUI, driving revoked, leaving the scene, etc.) or a misdemeanor or felony criminal charge, you are being prosecuted by the State of Maryland and all its necessary resources. Therefore, you need an attorney with my experience to confront, engage and make sure the system works for you instead of running over you.
And by the way, if you have been charged in Garrett or Allegany Counties, I have strong ties to that area – the true western Maryland – and I am very willing to defend you in Oakland or Cumberland.

I was hired to be a litigator and tried my first jury trial in approximately 30 days of hiring in the Circuit Court for Harford County. After proving myself an able and competent litigator I expanded the practice into more criminal defense and employment related litigation areas while the practice maintained its core emphasis of domestic and business/transactional law.
