We specifically represent creditors, debtors, lessors and lessees in perfecting security interests in railroad equipment with filings made to the Surface Transportation Board in Washington, DC. Originally formed in 1932 by Elias C. Alvord, an administrative judge with the Federal Trade Commission, and Ellsworth C. Alvord, Special Assistant to Andrew W. Mellon, Secretary of the Treasury, the firm, in addition, continues to represent clients in estate planning and administration, general taxation, company start-ups, pension and profit sharing plans and asset protection. The firm also has expertise in Delaware special purpose entities.
