ABOUT Cox, Cox & Estes, P.L.L.C.

Years of Dedicated, Insurance Defense Work for Physicians, Hospitals, other Medical Care Providers, Individuals and Companies

Walter Cox, the firm's senior partner, has been continuously engaged in the practice of law in Fayetteville since 1966, having started his career at what became the law firm of "Davis, Cox & Wright."

In August of 2000, Walter and his son, Lance Cox, left Davis, Cox & Wright, and, together with James ("Jamie") R. Estes, opened what is now Cox, Cox & Estes (CCE).

CCE is rated "AV" by Martindale Hubbell, which is the distinguished "preeminent" rating for highest level of competency and ethics. And each of its three attorneys is individually rated AV.

Additionally, CCE has a "Best Law Firm" listing in U.S. News and World Report.

CCE focuses its practice on litigation and jury trial work, and its attorneys try cases to juries on a regular basis.

Over the course of his approximate 50 year career, Walter Cox has tried and won more than an estimated 300 cases to juries in both state and federal courtrooms across the State of Arkansas, including an estimated 200 or more medical malpractice jury trials.

In 2012, Walter received the Outstanding Attorney of the Year award by the Arkansas Bar Association, and he received the Lawyer of the Year award (Fayetteville, Medical Malpractice Defense) from U.S. News and World Report in both 2011 and 2012. He is regularly named in Best Lawyers in America; the Arkansas Times' "Best Attorneys in the State of Arkansas - Medical Malpractice Defense;" and Super Lawyers. Additionally, Walter is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, and he has been individually rated "AV" by Martindale Hubbel for approximately 30 years.

Walter Cox and Jamie Estes focus their trial practices primarily upon the defense of physicians and other health care providers, and Lance Cox has a general trial practice that includes medical, dental, engineer, and other professional malpratice defense work, as well as business, product liability, real estate and construction, personal injury, premises liability, contract, and other litigation and trial work.

CCE's mission is to provide its clients with the best litigation and trial services available in Arkansas.
