Don was Section Head for Walmart's merchandising and marketing legal group from 2005 to 2010. In that role, he was responsible for recruiting, hiring, motivating and evaluating the performance of five attorneys and support staff. His team delivered legal support for merchandising and marketing groups, corporate public relations divisions, inventory replenishment departments and product and food safety compliance officers. As the Section Head, he oversaw budget preparation and the management of outside counsel. He participated in the litigation and evaluation of over 100 serious case reviews (SCRs) of claims involving significant injuries, including worker's compensation subrogated claims.
