Curtis S. Fallgatter has practiced law for over thirty years. He was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Middle District of Florida for seventeen years, thirteen of which he served as Chief Assistant. As Chief Assistant, Mr. Fallgatter tried numerous high profile criminal cases on behalf of the United States and also supervised a large number of lawyers in the Civil and Criminal Divisions of that office. Mr. Fallgatter is a past President of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. He is also the recipient of the Victim's Rights Award presented to him by the Mayor of Jacksonville and the President of the City Council. Mr. Fallgatter has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America, and has been selected as one of the top criminal defense attorneys in Northeast Florida.
Harold H. Catlin is also a Jacksonville native, and has been practicing law for over thirty years. He is a member of both The Florida Bar and the State Bar of Georgia, and has handled litigation and appeals throughout both states. Mr. Catlin specializes in civil litigation, including personal injury, wrongful death, commercial issues, insurance coverage, medical malpractice and product liability. He is past President of the Jacksonville Bar Association, the Jacksonville Association of Defense Counsel, and the Museum of Science and History. He has been actively involved in numerous legal, civic and religious groups in the community. He has been a Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney and a Certified Mediator.
Lisa Paquette Varon has practiced criminal law in Jacksonville for more than 20 years. She was an Assistant Public Defender in the Fourth Judicial Circuit from 1991 to 2001, where she represented clients in state court charged with crimes ranging from DUI’s and traffic offenses to sex offenses, white collar crimes and homicides. During that time, she also worked as a Felony Division Chief, supervising attorneys in felony court. She has worked with Mr. Fallgatter for more than ten years, defending clients in state and federal court.
Alex King grew-up in Jacksonville and attended the University of Florida as a National Merit Scholar. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.95 GPA and earned a dual degree with majors in Criminology and Political Science. After graduation, Alex attended law school at the University of Florida, where he graduated near the top of his class, received an award for outstanding pro bono work, and was a nominee for student of the year. He was a Senior Editor of the Florida Journal of International Law and the Managing Editor of the Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy. Alex worked for two summers at the United States Attorney’s Office in Jacksonville and later as a summer clerk for a Federal District Judge. As an Assistant State Attorney, Alex managed the DUI unit for the Fourth Judicial Circuit, was named Mothers Against Drunk Driving's Regional Prosecutor of the year, served on the State DUI Legislative Committee, and worked with State and Federal officials in training numerous prosecutors and officers on successful DUI prosecutions. In private practice, Alex focuses on complex litigation, DUI defense, and appeals.
