Jean Brown established the law practice now known as Jean Brown Family Law Offices in 1992. The firm is located in one of San Antonio's most historically significant buildings directly across from the Bexar County Courthouse. During her career, Jean has participated in over one thousand family law cases. She represents men and women alike, winning custody of children for Dad, as well as Mom, and winning cases on the District Court level, the Appellate level and the Texas Supreme Court level.

However, Jean would rather mediate family law cases whenever feasible. Mediation is a non-binding process wherein the parties, with the help of their attorneys and a skilled mediator, work on reducing their differences and reaching a binding agreement. Through mediation, the parties control their own futures and those of their children. And mediation is much more cost effective than proceeding to trial.
