ABOUT Michael A. Gentile
Mr. Gentile is a sole practitioner and handles every aspect of each case personally. He is an active and well regarded litigator in both of his major fields namely lawyer ethics matters and criminal defense matters. Mr. Gentile was the chief prosecutor in the landmark disbarment proceedings involving Roy M. Cohn. He is also regularly called upon by law schools and bar associations to lecture or to conduct CLE courses in his two main areas of expertise. He has written articles and columns for various legal publications and has been a commentator on Court TV.
The firm is almost equally engaged in the representation of attorneys in professional disciplinary matters and in the representation of criminal defendants in both New York State and Federal criminal matters. Mr. Gentile, the former Chief Disciplinary Counsel in New York City and the former First Deputy District Attorney in Brooklyn New York has tried hundreds of attorney disciplinary proceedings and criminal matters throughout New York State and elsewhere in the tristate area.
