The business and commercial practice of the Firm consists of the general representation of public and private entities, including formation, governance agreements, licensing agreements, trade secrets, import/export agreements, brokerage contracts, acquisitions, mergers, administration, reorganization, taxation and other business-related activities. The Firm's real estate practice includes representation of commercial and residential developers in the acquisition, sale, construction, development and redevelopment of office, industrial and retail complexes, shopping centers, apartments, hotels and planned developments. The Firm also has a significant practice in commercial property ownership and management and has substantial experience in both the drafting of and negotiation of leases and tenant workouts. The Firm serves as General Counsel to the San Antonio Building Owners and Managers Association. Litigation of civil and commercial matters, at both the trial and appellate levels, in state and federal courts, bankruptcy courts, the United States Supreme Court and before administrative agencies throughout the United States, is a significant part of the Firm's practice. The Firm also represents clients in civil municipal matters before state and federal regulatory agencies.
