WTL was formed in March 2008 to concentrate on national civil litigation defense for established corporate clients. Because of the firm's depth of experience, it currently handles matters for clients in about 15 states. The firm's attorneys are especially skilled at handling large damage cases involving catastrophic personal injuries, and large complex commercial losses. Because of its role as national counsel for several clients, the firm places heavy emphasis on client value, work efficiency, timely reporting and responsiveness. The firm's attorneys have been practicing together for many years at some of the country's largest international law firms, where they held management and leadership positions.
Qualifications and experience: The firm is currently comprised of four partners and seven associates, all practicing at the national counsel level in product liability, personal injury and commercial litigation matters. The firm currently serves as national product liability counsel for three companies (including two Fortune 500 international product manufacturers) and as trial counsel for other companies in various matters across the United States. Two of the three partners (David Weinstein and David Tippetts) are inductees into the American Board of Trial Advocates, a peer-selected organization recognizing significant jury trial experience and skills. Through association with local counsel, the firm currently handles product liability and commercial litigation matters in multiple jurisdictions across the United States. The combined attorney staff has defended thousands of personal injury, product liability and commercial matters over the years and has tried to jury verdict in excess of 130 cases. The firm also counsels clients on personal injury, product liability and commercial matters not yet in suit, and proactively with respect to pre-suit resolution strategy.
