Mr. Finkeldei has over 12 years experience helping banks, businesses, governmental entities and individuals achieve their desired results. This experience includes assisting more than a dozen lending institutions and multiple developers and contractors navigate the difficult economic climate that has existed the last few years. In addition to his civil practice, Mr. Finkeldei has served as the municipal prosecutor for the City of Baldwin City, Kansas for more than 7 years. He is an AV rated lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell and received multiple honors in law school including being named Order of the Coif, selected as articles editor for the University of Kansas Law Review, and a recipient of the Estate Planning and Tax Procedure awards.
Brad and his wife Amy have two daughters, Raegan and Chaney. When not involved with his children’s activities, Brad enjoys spending some of his free time serving his community. Brad has served on the Lawrence Douglas County Planning Commission since 2005. He is also the President of the of the Board of Directors for Ballard Community Services (Ballard Center, Penn House, Brook Creek, Emergency Services Council). Other activities include being a member of the Lawrence Jayhawk Rotary Club (past president and assistant-governor for the Rotary clubs of Northeast Kansas) and on the board of directors for Lawrence Family Promise and Leadership Lawrence (past president and curriculum chair). In the past Brad has also served as the chair of the City's Alcohol Tax Fund Committee, the Douglas County American Red Cross, and on the School Consolidation Task Force. Brad currently serves as the Chair of Discipleship at the First United Methodist Church and member of the Gateway West board of directors. He also serves on the Finance committee at St. John the Evangelist church.
