Brian C. Fetzer is co-chair of Johnson & Bell’s Health Care group, and concentrates his practice on health care law, as well as product liability.
A seasoned litigator, Mr. Fetzer has handled numerous civil trials and has tried jury cases to verdict in both state and federal court. He has frequently lectured on tort civil practice and trial strategy issues for a number of associations and has also written for various journals.
Mr. Fetzer has won multiple honors: named as one of the “Top 20 Defense Lawyers” in Chicago by Chicago Lawyer magazine, the Trial Lawyers Excellence Award in 2010 by the Jury Verdict Reporter, and an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a nomination by his peers.
Mr. Fetzer is a member of the Federal Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois, Chicago and Illinois State Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, the Trial Lawyers Club of Chicago (past president), the Society of Trial Lawyers, the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Illinois Defense Trial Counsel, and the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
Mr. Fetzer is also a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers as well as the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Fetzer was selected as one of Chicago’s 2012 Best Lawyers.
