    ABOUT Brian Shannon Wood

    BRIAN S. WOOD is a Partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Smith, Currie & Hancock LLP. Prior to coming to Smith Currie, Brian was General Counsel for Keller Foundations, LLC and its U.S. subsidiaries. Prior to his time at Keller, he was a construction lawyer in private practice. Mr. Wood is highly experienced in matters involving both public (federal, state, and municipal) and private construction. In his legal career, he has represented owners, contractors, design-builders, subcontractors, and engineers. Mr. Wood has handled a broad spectrum of construction matters, ranging from contract drafting and negotiation, to claim preparation, negotiation, and prosecution, to dispute resolution in arbitration, state and Federal courts, and boards of contract appeals. In the latter regard, he has successfully litigated and arbitrated many claims both nationally and internationally. Brian holds a degree in civil engineering and has worked as an engineer, construction manager, estimator, and scheduling consultant on transportation, flood control, environmental restoration, and vertical construction projects.
