Brita C Zacek

Brita Zacek joined James & Hoffman in January 2019. She represents clients in a variety of matters including employment discrimination and wage & hour cases. She also represents unions in litigation and arbitration.

Ms. Zacek’s recent matters include:

Representing federal government employees in cases alleging violations of overtime pay requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Advising and representing staff members of international organizations, such as the World Bank, before international administrative tribunals. Representing a local teachers’ union in grievance arbitrations and related litigation.

Prior to joining James & Hoffman, Ms. Zacek practiced with a firm in New York, where she provided advice and representation to clients in employment matters. Before that, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Eric G. Bruggink in the United States Court of Federal Claims.

Ms. Zacek received her J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she was a member of the school’s Law Review. She received her B.A. degree from the University of Florida. Ms. Zacek is a member of the Bars of New York and the District of Columbia.
