Carrie E. Kelly is The Gasper Law Group, PLLC’s Managing Attorney of the Family Law Division. She began her career in civil litigation and since 2006 has focused on family law. She completed the Colorado Bar Association’s training for mediators because she believes that the negotiating skills taught in that contest are relevant to the practice of family law.
Ms. Kelly represents clients in various family matters, including: Divorce, Separation, Paternity, Custody, Protection Orders, no contact agreements, restraining orders, Grandparent Rights, visitation, and Child Custody. Ms. Kelly also has experience with related cases such as step-parent adoptions, dependency and neglect cases, and contempt.
Ms. Kelly received her Law Degree in 2002 from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She is an energetic attorney with a passion for and understanding of family law. She actively attends local legal education seminars and speaking events to keep current on the philosophies and concerns of the judges before whom she appears. She was named the 2014 Outstanding Family Law Attorney by her colleagues in the Family Law section of the El Paso County Bar Association in recognition of her contributions to the family law legal community.
Ms. Kelly recommends that when looking for a family law attorney you should seek out someone who focuses their practice on family law and who frequently appears in your jurisdiction. Much of family law is left to the discretion of the judge so knowing how specific judges will likely view your case can be invaluable in deciding how to proceed.
Ms. Kelly is a Colorado native and has lived in Colorado Springs since 2004 with her husband, two children, and a zoo’s worth of pets. She is a Girl Scout Leader and a member of Junior League of Colorado Springs. When she can, she enjoys exploring the many hiking trails and parks around Colorado Springs with her children.
