ABOUT Catherine Lynn Vega

Catherine L. Vega is an associate at Outten & Golden LLP and a member of the firm’s Individual Practice Area. She is a lifelong advocate for traditionally underrepresented groups and has worked to advance workers’ rights in various previous roles.

Prior to joining the firm in 2020, Ms. Vega worked as an associate at Villegas Carrera, Inc., representing mainly low-wage Latino workers in wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases, in addition to wage and hour and discrimination class actions. Before that, she served as a staff attorney at Legal Aid of Marin, where she helped low-income clients recover their wages, advocated for tenants in eviction cases, and educated the community about workers’ rights.

Ms. Vega graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2016. In law school, she served as a symposium editor for the Santa Clara Law Review and co-created the Race and the Criminal Justice Symposium. She also served as a law clerk, managing various wage and hour cases at the school’s Katharine and George Alexander Community Law Center, which provides pro-bono advice and representation in the areas of consumer law, immigration law, and workers’ rights.

Outside the firm, Ms. Vega serves as a board member and officer of Lean in Latinas, a nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of Latinas in the workplace.
