ABOUT Christina M. Bruno

Christina M. Bruno’s practice is focused on real estate litigation matters and commercial collections issues. Christina utilizes her vast experience in real estate litigation to assist businesses in a variety of industries, including agriculture and real estate development, with a particular concentration in zoning matters. She also handles real estate litigation and zoning concerns on behalf of cities, towns and counties. Her work on both sides of the table in negotiations and hearings brings great perspective to issues and a holistic approach to finding compromise and resolution.

As a partner in the firm’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group, Christina’s practice is concentrated in commercial collections, with considerable experience in the automotive sales industry. In addition, she represents clients in contested foreclosure litigation, including the defense of mortgage servicers in borrower initiated litigation under RESPA, TILA and FDCPA, Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy matters, and title insurance litigation. She has managed over ten appeals for mortgage servicers in the Court of Appeals of Indiana, the Indiana Supreme Court, United Stated Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and appeals of bankruptcy cases to the United States District Court, Southern District of Indiana.

Christina is admitted to practice before Indiana State Courts, the Federal District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Christina received her law degree from the Robert H. McKinney School of Law - Indianapolis in 2007 where she participated in the Honorable Robert H. Staton Intramural Moot Court Competition and studied abroad in Strasbourg, France and Dubrovnik, Croatia. She graduated from Indiana University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and minors in French and sociology. As part of her undergraduate education, Christina studied language and art history in Paris, France.
