ABOUT Christopher Loren Palmer

Chris Palmer, a University of Arkansas School of Law Alumni, is the newest partner to the Dodds, Kidd and Ryan firm. Chris has extensive legal experience consisting of mediation, family law, mortgage banking/real estate litigation, and criminal defense. He gained early trial experience while in the office of the prosecuting attorney. He served as a division chief over the drug task force and the division tasked with the responsibility of evaluating and prosecuting cases involving sexual assault and domestic violence. During his 30 years of practice, he has tried numerous cases from the perspective of prosecution, defense and as a Circuit Judge. He has extensive experience before the state and federal bar. Additionally, Chris is a member of the Pulaski County Bar Association; Arkansas Bar Association; American Bar Association; Tennessee Bar Association; Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; Association of Trial Lawyers of America; William Overton and Henry Woods Inns of Court.

By Governor's appointment, Chris has also served on the Judicial Nominations Committee, as Chairman of the State Public Defender Commission, serve as a member of the Jail Standards Review Committee, and most recently, as a Pulaski County Circuit Judge.

Chris was born in Summit, New Jersey. He received his education from Hendrix College (B.A., 1981) and from the University of Arkansas School of Law (J.D., 1985). He was admitted to the Bar of the State of Arkansas in 1985. He was admitted to the Bar of the State of Tennessee in 1998. He became a certified Mediator in the field of General Civil matters in 2002 and in the field of family law in 2005.
