ABOUT Cindra M. Dowd

Attorney Cindra M. Dowd devotes her practice to clients with issues including: workplace sexual harassment, sexual harassment in schools, unpaid overtime, racial discrimination, whistleblower protection, birth injury, and personal injury.

Ms. Dowd has experience in a broad range of litigation, including sexual harassment, toxic torts, personal injury, commercial litigation, contract law, real estate and property law and bankruptcy.

Ms. Dowd is a 1987 graduate of Duke University. She earned her law school degree from The Dickinson School of Law in 1991. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Dowd served as a law clerk for The Honorable Hal J. Bonney, Jr. of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Ms. Dowd is a member of the Virginia State Bar and its Litigation Section, the Tidewater Bankruptcy Bar Association (former) where she served as its President from 2001-2002, the Boyd-Graves Conference and formerly she was a member of the James Kent American Inn of Court.
