Work Experience
Craig grew up spending time on his grandfather’s farm, initially thinking that would be his path. But upon graduating high school, he was drawn to the oilfield, where he began making a good living in the early '80s. He attended LSU, studying petroleum engineering, and spent summers working in the field before heading to the Gulf of Mexico as a drilling engineer.
During Hurricane Juan, Craig was injured in an evacuation gone wrong when he and others were swept across a workboat’s deck. While fortunate to recover, the experience changed his view on safety and control over his future. After being laid off, he decided to take charge of his destiny and pursued law school, following in the footsteps of his father, an attorney in Many, Louisiana.
Craig began his legal career on the defense side, but a case involving a young man who lost two fingers in a drilling rig accident deeply affected him. Tasked with handling the settlement, Craig realized the man had little understanding of the compensation he was agreeing to. That day, Craig resolved never to be on the defense side again and has since dedicated his career to representing injured individuals.
With over 30 years of experience, Craig has handled thousands of cases, including oilfield, Jones Act, maritime claims, and countless workers' compensation cases, even in Texas and Mississippi. Craig’s advice to anyone injured is to seek guidance from an experienced attorney. He remains passionate about advocating for his clients and their families.
