David was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on June 14, 1967, and graduated in 1990 from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with an emphasis on International Relations. In 1993, he obtained his Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University Law School in San Francisco.
While attending college and law school, Mr. Steele served in the United States Navy Reserves as a non-commissioned officer, attached to the U.S.S. Midway out of Pt. Mugu in Oxnard, California and later at N.A.S. Alameda from 1985 through 1993, before obtaining an Honorable Discharge.
Before joining Yaron & Associates in November of 1998, David was a litigation associate at Mitchell, Burrow, Gingerich and Loquaci, a San Jose firm specializing in insurance defense and business litigation.
David is admitted to all United States Districts Courts in California, and maintains a civil defense practice which emphasizes civil trial litigation involving insurance defense claims, personal injury, construction defect claims, and toxic tort defense.
David is a member of the State Bar of California, Santa Clara Bar Association, San Francisco Bar Association and the Federalist Society. David, his wife, Christina, and their children, Michael and Clara, live in Berkeley. His hobbies include sports, politics and reading novels.
