After graduating from UCLA Law School, Mr. Juhnke practiced in Los Angeles and was associated with Manatt, Phelps, Rothenberg & Tunney. He moved to San Luis Obispo in 1986 and joined the law firm of Sinsheimer, Schiebelhut & Baggett, where he became a partner in 1989 and became managing partner of successor law firm Sinsheimer, Juhnke, McIvor & Stroh in 2001. Mr. Juhnke joined McCormick Barstow in 2019 and assists clients in business and real estate litigation and transactions, and counsels and represents employers concerning employee issues and disputes.
Mr. Juhnke has represented individuals and entities in commercial and real estate disputes at the trial and appellate level. He is admitted to practice before all California State Courts and Federal District Courts, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition, he has handled proceedings before various administrative agencies including the San Luis Obispo Assessment Appeals Board, the California Coastal Commission and the United States Trademark Trials and Appeals Board.
Mr. Juhnke has served as a Judge Pro Tem and judicial arbitrator by assignment for the San Luis Obispo Superior Court, and was a member of the San Luis Obispo Assessment Appeals Board from 1990-1997. He has chaired the boards of numerous civic organizations, and has presented employment law seminars for clients and community organizations.
Practice
Mr. Juhnke handles business and real estate transactions and litigation in the trial and appellate courts. He counsels and defends large and small businesses with respect to personnel matters and employee disputes.
