Attorney David Gruber founded Gruber Law Offices more than 28 years ago and has been practicing law for over 30 years. For almost 25 years, David has been on television as both the voice and the face of Gruber Law Offices, his Wisconsin personal injury law firm. David’s “ONE CALL…THAT’S ALL” has been a call to action, a signal to the people of Wisconsin and a guiding and educational force for decades.
Early Life
David was born in Passaic, New Jersey, just a few miles from New York City, the son of a police captain and a bookkeeper. His mother, Bernice, encouraged him from an early age to become a lawyer. David attended high school in Passaic, New Jersey, where he won accolades for his skills on the baseball diamond and on the basketball court.
David went on to play basketball for the University of Delaware, and he was ultimately named the co-captain of the men’s basketball team in the 1979-1980 season. Upon his graduation from the University of Delaware, David attended Marquette University Law School, graduating in 1983. At Marquette University Law School, David was fortunate to meet his wife of almost 30 years, Nancy. David truly enjoyed the city of Milwaukee and decided to make it his home.

David’s legal success and acumen has resulted in a very successful, trusted and popular law firm. David has received numerous prestigious awards and designations. Among them, he has been honored as a National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers, an invitation-only organization composed of the premier trial lawyers from each state. David has also been named as the Best Personal Injury Attorney in Milwaukee, among other community and legal awards. He also belongs to several private groups comprised of the top personal injury lawyers in America.

Komen Race for the Cure, United Way of Greater Milwaukee, the Journey House, the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, IndependenceFirst and several others.
As time allows, David can be seen quite frequently at local charitable and sporting events. He is a passionate fan and supporter of the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, Marquette, UW-Madison, UW-Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Admirals, the Milwaukee Wave, not to mention dozens of youth basketball, baseball and AAU programs. David also has been involved in sports law and contract negotiation, most notably the negotiation of Bruce Pearl’s contract with the University of Tennessee and his most recent contract with Auburn University worth a minimum of $15 million.
