David L. Montgomery was born May 26, 1964, in Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. Mr. Montgomery graduated from Butler High School in 1982. He attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and received a Bachelor of Science in Communication Degree in 1986. He then attended the Claude W. Pettit College of Law at Ohio Northern University and received his Juris Doctor in 1990.
Mr. Montgomery began his law practice in Butler County in 1990. Throughout his years of practice, Mr. Montgomery has been continuously active in the civil side of the Court. He has litigated cases for both Plaintiffs and Defendants in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Indiana, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango and Westmoreland Counties. These cases have included personal injury claims resulting from automobile accidents, slips and falls and defective products. Mr. Montgomery also practices in the areas of adoption, breach of contract, boundary disputes, divorce, support, custody, injunctions, juvenile law, termination of parental rights and Wills and estates.
Mr. Montgomery has served as a Mental Health Review Officer appointed by the Court. Also, as an arbitrator appointed through Butler County procedures.
