Debra Sutton has extensive experience handling direct representation of insurance companies in matters of coverage and bad faith. She is among a small number of attorneys who have extensive experience defending extra-contractual claims and has had numerous jury trials. Ms. Sutton also handles premises liability, products liability and automobile liability claims. She is a graduate of Arkansas State University and the University of Arkansas, School of Law. She clerked for Chief Justice Erickson of the Colorado Supreme Court before beginning her civil practice. Her memberships include the American Bar Association, Litigation, Tort and Insurance section, the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association (former Board Member) and the Defense Research Institute. She has been elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates, recognizing the many jury trials she has handled during her career. Before beginning her civil practice, Ms. Sutton clerked for Chief Justice Erickson of the Colorado Supreme Court. She then joined the firm of Weller, Friedrich, Ward and Andrew, where she became Partner. Ms. Sutton is the founder and Managing Partner of Sutton|Booker|P.C. Ms. Sutton has presented educational seminars on various topics including Trial Practice, Insurance, medical/legal issues and First/Third-Party Bad Faith. She has served on a Colorado Supreme Court Committee, was a Colorado Defense Lawyer Association Board Member and responsible for the CDLA Trial Academy. Ms. Sutton has participated in legislative and administrative hearings on matters of interest to the insurance industry.
