Donald L. Helder graduated in 1973 with a Business Administration Degree from Ferris State University. He graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1980 and has been practicing law in Big Rapids since June of that year.
Mr. Helder has a wide range of legal experience, including significant litigation in all Michigan Courts. His current primary areas of practice include business transactions, corporation law, limited liability company law, real estate transactions, family law/divorce, estate planning, wills and trusts, probate matters, landlord/tenant, debt collection and selected criminal matters.
With 33 years of legal and trial experience throughout Central Michigan, Mr. Helder regularly provides advice and guidance, along with the preparation of documents, necessary to assist clients in numerous legal issues. He has represented many business corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, sole proprietorships, property owners, and other businesses engaged in varying businesses. Mr. Helder's "common sense" approach to life and the practice of law allows him to assist people in their private lives and business lives with decisions of vital importance to them.
