EILEEN LAVIGNE FLUG is of counsel to Cohen and Wolf and is a member of the firm's Business & Corporate Group. Resident in the firm's Westport office, her practice includes business transactions, contract negotiation and drafting, alcoholic beverage law and advising non-profit organizations. Ms. Flug has extensive experience in alcoholic beverage law, including licensing, supply and distribution contracts, labeling, and distributor-dealer appointment and termination.Prior to joining Cohen and Wolf, P.C., Ms. Flug was General Counsel of Quaker Equities, Ltd. and its subsidiaries; distributors Peerless Importers, Inc. and Brescome Barton, Inc., and brand owner/supplier, Chatham Imports, Inc. She also practiced for four years in the corporate department at Arnold & Porter in Washington, D.C. Ms. Flug is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut.Ms. Flug is Moderator of the Westport Representative Town Meeting and chairs the Rules and Special Ethics Committees. She has served on the Representative Town Meeting since 2005. A member of the Westport Sunrise Rotary, she is also a board member of the Westport Sunrise Rotary 21st Century Foundation. Ms. Flug has served, or presently serves, as a board member of the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters, the Friends of Westport Parks and Recreation, the Green Village Initiative, the American Society of Botanical Artists, the Westport League of Women Voters, and the Gertrude Stein Repertory Theatre. Ms. Flug received her B.A. in 1985 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and her J.D. in 1988 from Pepperdine University School of Law, summa cum laude, where she graduated Valedictorian and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Pepperdine Law Review.
