Erin A. Adamski is an associate trial attorney for Newland & Newland, LLP. Since joining Newland & Newland, LLP, Erin has focused her practice primarily on helping those who have been injured. She has successfully negotiated settlements in cases involving negligence at construction sites, at the workplace, on public and private property, and on the road. Quickly after starting with the firm, Erin successfully tried, with a 12-person jury, a soft-tissue injury case against a sub-standard insurance company and secured a jury verdict in excess of the insurance policy! Most recently, Erin was an integral player in the mediation of a slip & fall case resulting in a settlement of over $1.5 million for her client who tripped while at the workplace!
In addition to the aforementioned, Erin has extensive experience in all areas of litigation, from pre-trial negotiation through post-trial motions. Erin’s experience in personal injury includes: car accidents, slip & fall cases, injuries to minors, probate matters involving minors as well as those involving decedents, wrongful death and survival actions, intentional tort litigation including defamation and false light, and permanency/disability cases, food poisoning events and outbreaks, and more.
Born and raised in the Chicago area, Erin left the suburb of Aurora to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in English. While completing her undergraduate degree, she also opted to write an Undergraduate Honors Thesis requiring over a year of political and legal research and thereby affording her the honor of “Distinction” at graduation.
After graduation Erin began her career with J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. where she worked for two years. During this time she both studied and dealt with the personal realities of securities and foreclosure laws and their effects on the individual. Erin ultimately rose up to managing a Chase Bank Branch and only left to attend law school full time.
Erin then obtained her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. While attending law school, Erin clerked at various firms, widening her experience to encompass Veterans’ Rights issues, medical malpractice cases, 1983 Civil Actions claims, Wrongful Death cases, and most extensively personal injury suits of all types.
