Erin Morrissey represents electric utilities, retail electric providers, and power marketers with their compliance reporting, licensing, permitting, and regulatory needs before the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) and various state and federal administrative bodies. She also advises clients on complex energy-related appellate cases and civil litigation.
Ms. Morrissey’s experience includes transmission line need and siting proceedings before the PUCT and Arizona Corporation Commission, base rate cases for both integrated and non-integrated utilities before the PUCT, and rate case expense recovery proceedings. In addition, she regularly advises clients on regulatory and compliance issues related to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Texas Reliability Entity, Department of Energy, and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland (US), she was a litigation associate at a law firm in El Paso, Texas. Previously, she served as a law clerk for Sunflower Electric Power Corporation and the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services Office of the General Counsel.
