FREDERICK R. FRANKE, JR. was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1946. Fred received an A.B. from Kenyon College, a J.D. from Washington & Lee University, and a L.L.M. (Taxation) from George Washington University. He was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1975. Fred lectures in continuing professional education programs for attorneys and certified public accountants on a variety of subjects, including estate planning, asset protection, wills and revocable trusts, family partnerships, valuation discounting, probate avoidance, and guardianships. Fred, the principal attorney, is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel; he is past chair of the Estate and Trust Section of the Maryland State Bar Association; and has been an adjunct professor of law at the University of Baltimore having taught the estates and trusts course in the night division. Fred has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers. He has also been selected to be included in various editions of The Best Lawyers in America and named the Top Annapolis estate and trust lawyer by What's Up Annapolis in a survey of Anne Arundel County lawyers.
