Garrett M. Fitzgerald was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2012. Initially, Garrett worked as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Leah J. Seaton, in the Circuit Court for Wicomico County. Garrett earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law. In addition to his legal studies, Garrett completed a Master of Business Administration from the Merrick School of Business. As an undergraduate, Garrett studied political science and legal studies, at the University of Delaware obtaining a Bachelor of Arts. Garrett is a member of the bar association for both the State of Maryland and Talbot County.
To serve his clients’ diverse needs, Garrett maintains broad legal competency including business and corporate, banking and foreclosure, domestic litigation, civil litigation, estate planning, municipal, real estate, and zoning. Garrett’s practice focuses on preventive measures and legal planning tools to ensure clients’ legal positions and opportunities remain protected. Should matters become contested, Garrett is adept at using his business and litigation experience to protect clients’ interests and ensure a favorable resolution.
At home, Garrett enjoys spending time with his wife, Kimberly, and twins Colin and Brynn. As a lifelong resident, Garrett enjoys preserving the unique cultural heritage of the Eastern Shore including the racing of log canoes and other local sports. Garrett is a proud board member of the Channel Marker Foundation and a former High School Mock Trial coach for Saints Peter and Paul High School.
