Gaye Nell Heck has practiced law for over 20 years in the areas of commercial and bankruptcy litigation. Prior to joining Bialson, Bergen & Schwab, Ms. Heck practiced in Georgia and California in the area of general business law with an emphasis on debtor-creditor rights. From 1994 to 1995, Ms. Heck served as Judicial Clerk to the Honorable James R. Grube (Ret.), United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of California. Since joining Bialson, Bergen & Schwab, Ms. Heck has been active in the firm's bankruptcy and insolvency practice. Ms. Heck has lectured during her career to attorneys under the auspices of the State Bar of California's Continuing Education Program and the Santa Clara Bar Association. Ms. Heck's lecture topics include: Bankruptcy Litigation and Fraudulent Conveyances. In addition, Ms. Heck co-authored "Dischargeability of Environmental Liability in Bankruptcy" for the California Real Property Journal (Summer, 1996). Ms. Heck has served on the Board of Directors of several charitable organizations, including Los Altos Children's Center Preschool (2008-Present), Los Altos/Mountain View Pony Baseball (2006-Present), Senior New Ways, a senior services provider (2005-2008).
