George Swegman is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Maryland, the U.S. Court of Appeals in the District of Columbia and Maryland, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. As an undergraduate, George received his Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University in 1970, and his juris doctorate from Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law in 1975.
Prior to joining The Law Offices of Peter T. Nicholl, George worked for 28 years with the law firm Ashcraft & Gerel in Baltimore, Maryland. Additionally, he worked for 5 years with the Merit Systems Protection Board. Since joining the firm, Mr. Swegman has represented injured persons in lead paint poisoning cases against negligent landlords and property managers. He also represents clients in unpaid overtime cases against employers under the Federal Labor Standards Act.
George is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers in Maryland and the United States, Maryland Association for Justice, the Maryland Bar Association, and Citizens United. He is also an AV Rated Attorney on Martindale-Hubbell’s Peer Review Ratings, marking the highest level of professional excellence.
