ABOUT Holly Baer Kammerer

Holly Baer Kammerer currently focuses her practice on personal injury, products liability, and commercial litigation. She has practiced law since 1992, and has vast experience in litigation and all trial related aspects of personal injury cases and business disputes. After moving to Colorado from Washington, D.C., she has also practiced in the areas of family law, collections, insurance, mass tort, recreational vehicle, equine, and appeals. Ms. Kammerer joined Burg Simpson in 1996 and became a shareholder of the firm in 1999. Ms. Kammerer has successfully tried numerous cases to a jury, and has multiple million dollar verdicts and settlements including a $2.5 million and a $4.2 million jury verdict in personal injury cases in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. In 2019, Holly Kammerer secured a $58.5 million dollar verdict in compensatory and punitive damage for families who had donated bodies of their deceased loved ones to the Biological Resource Center. She represented the victims of a fraudulent scheme to illegally sell human body parts of their loved one’s bodies that were supposed to be donated for scientific and medical education and research. The verdict is one of the largest civil case results in Arizona history.

Ms. Kammerer earned the designation of Top 50 Colorado Women by Super Lawyers in 2014, and in 2012, Law Week Colorado named Ms. Kammerer a Top Woman Lawyer. Ms. Kammerer is the senior female shareholder of the firm, and for more than a decade she has developed and managed the firm’s large multi-state single event personal injury department. She is driven to fight for justice and success for her clients within our organization and the community.

Listed as a Super Lawyer for several years, Ms. Kammerer has been recognized as an exceptional attorney who has attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Super Lawyers represents an elite top 5% of the practicing attorneys in Colorado who are selected by peer review. Ms. Kammerer has also met the standard of excellence for selection as one of The National Trial Lawyer’s Top 100 Trial Lawyers, 2008-2013, and she was recognized as a Woman of Accomplishment by Law Week Colorado in 2009. Ms. Kammerer has been listed in Best Lawyers in America since 2013.

Ms. Kammerer is the Board of Director’s Chair for the Wild Plum Center for young children and families, formerly known as the Longmont Children’s Council. The center provides preschool education, family counseling, and community-based services for low-income families in the Longmont and Boulder County area. Ms. Kammerer also volunteers time to work with children in the St. Vrain Valley School District and volunteers on behalf of children with disabilities, specifically in education and research regarding Velo Cardio Facial Syndrome (VCFS).
