Mr. Fredman is a both trained mediator and a trial and appellate attorney with more than four decades of experience successfully resolving complex business cases. Mr. Fredman has been honored by the federal district court in Los Angeles for his service as an Attorney Settlement Officer.
An authority on defamation, Internet and antitrust matters, Mr. Fredman’s expertise also includes business litigation, trade secrets, libel, unfair competition, and Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPP) and trademark disputes.
Mr. Fredman is a past President of the Beverly Hills Bar Association. He is a former chairman and current member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) Antitrust Section Executive Committee. He is a former LACBA Delegate to the State Bar Conference of Delegates, and a former member of the LACBA Nominating Committee. Mr. Fredman is also a member of the American Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.
Mr. Fredman has lectured to the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the Southern California Complex Litigation Inn of Court, the California Continuing Education of the Bar, and the Practicing Law Institute on product liability, depositions, negotiation, antitrust, intellectual property litigation, and SLAPP cases. Mr. Fredman was previously Counsel to Atlantic Richfield Company in its Major Litigation Unit and is a former partner of Frandzel & Share in Los Angeles, California.
Mr. Fredman is a 1966 graduate of Princeton University. He received his law degree, cum laude, from Columbia University in 1969 where he distinguished himself for oral and written advocacy.
