Issa Velho is a divorce, family law, and immigration attorney in Melbourne, Florida. Mrs. Velho was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, and moved to Central Florida at the age of eleven. Ever since she was in High School she knew she wanted to be in a profession where she could help people. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Central Florida, and received her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University.
After years of practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Issa realized that she was limited in the type of advice she could provide her clients. In order to be able to fully advise her clients, Issa decided to become an attorney. While being a full time mom to two children, she attended FAMU College of Law in Orlando, FL and graduated Cum Laude. During law school she was a member of the FAMU College of Law Environmental Law Society, Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section, and was also part of their Law Review as a Senior Editor.
Mrs. Velho always knew she wanted to practice law in her local community, so as a student she joined Brevard County Association of Women Lawyers, and she became a board member. She also volunteers in her community for Brevard County schools, as a team mom in her daughter’s tee ball team, and her husband volunteers as a Lacrosse Coach.
With her counseling skills, her passion for the law, and her commitment to her clients she is dedicated to help out clients who are English or Spanish speaking in matters relating to Family Law, Immigration, and Estate Planning.
